Dunsapie Loch

Dunsapie Loch is in fact a man made loch created at the same time as the adjoining Queens Drive (1844) with an average depth of 14 foot/ 4.2 metres and covering an area of over 3 acres/ 1.23 hectares.

The Loch was created under the directions of Prince Albert consort to Queen Victoria. The loch is supplied with water from Alnwickhill in the south of Edinburgh.
